Catching up

Saw Bernie online today. He's doing well in Boston. It's interesting how many people I know are either on or contemplating exchange. Although I do see the value in going on exchange, there are some subjects that aren't quite suited for exchange (Accounting being one, I think, but the advent of international standards might make it a moot point). The conversation turned to food & TV chefs. We both agreed that most of them are too flashy, but better then Donna Hay. Besides, stuff on white/silver goes look rather bland.
Anyway, an interesting situation occurs in the baseball game i'm following (Seattle @ Oakland). Bottom of the 9th, 1 out, runner on 3rd. Seattle then intentionally walks the batter. I think that's a good thing (as it sets up the double play). They then intentionally walk the next batter, thus loading the bases. Why they needed to do that, I don't know, as then the pitcher was forced to pitch strikes, to avoid walking in the winning run. Needless to say, the next better hit a sac fly, thus rendering this moot.
