Update

Things have been busy late, mainly with work, but for the next 15 months, study.

Recently, my parents decided to get a satellite receiver. Now, instead of the usual 5 channels, there is a choice of hundreds of channels, mainly in Mandarin, on seven satellites (Asiasat 2, Asiasat 3, Palapa C2, Asiasat 4, Apstar 6, Pas 8 & Pas 2). However, most of the channels I prefer (namely CNN and sports channels) are scrambled, so it's fairly useless for me. However, there are interesting channels out there, like the Chinese gaming channel to random ad hoc feeds. Fortunately, there are some channels in English, such as Bloomberg, BBC World, NHK World (sometimes) and ABC Asia Pacific, so it's not all bad.

Things I learnt from today's match (Aus v Croatia)

1 yellow card = 2/3 Croatian yellow card
Handball = touching the ball using an open palm.

Congratulations Australia. Next target, Italy.

Quick update

Nothing out of the ordinary has happened over the last 6 weeks - mainly work, with study happening again in a couple of weeks.

One thing I did find, though, is this. Some people have too much time on their hands...

As a bonus, a couple of my favourite clips from Whose Line is it anyway, one of the funniest shows out there (although it's been canned).
