Looks like I was wrong...

Last night, Roger Federer won his first French Open, thus completing his Grand Slam.

In February, while on the Wimbledon tour, there was a discussion on who would get their Grand Slam first; Federer, or Nadal? The consensus was Nadal would get there first, as Nadal has won 5 of the last 6 head to head meetings, and he was more likely to win the US Open, then Federer was with winning the French Open (where Nadal's French Open record going into this year's Open was 28-0).

However, in sport, nothing is certain until the match(es) are played, and as this French OPen has proved, being the overwhelming favourite doesn't mean you automatically win. A big thank you has to go out to Robin Soderling, for showing that Rafael Nadal can be beaten on clsy, and Roger Federer, for proving (at least) one bunch of tennis watchers wrong.
